Yesterday was a big day for us. No I didn't go into labor, and that is why it was significant. Yesterday, I was 24 weeks and 5 days along in my pregnancy. Yesterday is when Max was born. Physically, I have felt fine this week, but mentally it has been a bit challenging. I can't begin to explain the new hope I have that this baby will make it based purely on getting through yesterday.
I actually had my weekly Dr appt yesterday and everything looked good. The definite low point of the day came on the way to the appt. I got rear ended. Thank goodness we have a very safe car. Although the impact was pretty hard and there was damage to the car, nobody was hurt.
I continue to take it really easy and will do so through the next 3 weeks until I get to week 28 (at 28 weeks, the baby's chances of survival go way up). Bas's parents are here from Europe and are a huge help with the house and Max. Next week they will take off for a couple weeks on vacation, headed for the Badlands, Mt Rushmore etc. At this point Elizabeth will begin. She is a Sr at Timothy who will take care of Max the rest of the summer.
We are still coming up with zeros for a girls name...any suggestions???

Hi Sara. So happy for you that you made it past the big day. I remember making it past each milestone wondering and praying that all will go well. As for girl names - go with some names in the family but tweak them a bit. I hope you can keep it up! Praying for you!

What a great feeling, Butz. I am so happy for you that you are doing so well. I also remember counting every week at this point and being so grateful every Thursday, because it meant I got to switch to the next week. I hope the rest of it goes just as smoothly. Too bad neither one of us could make it to the girls' weekend -- I'd love to see you and catch up!
So happy for you guys to reach this milestone! Praying all continues to go well as your belly grows! Don't you need to post some preggo pics?
It brings tears to my eyes to read that. I am so happy for you that everythnig is going so well!
I second that Sandi... where are your prego pics?
I might need to take some next time when I come over and post them on my blog, as you claim you still don't know how to work your new camera.
